our mission

What Drives Us

They say that home is a reflection of the lives led inside. But what if the space staring back doesn’t complement your routine or style?

At Hudson, we create spaces that invite belonging. That capture your distinct point of view. That inspire the everyday, the aspirational, and all the moments in between. Spaces designed exclusively for you and with you — because every house should be as unique as the people who make it a home.

We Make the Aspirational Attainable

By curating spaces with the big picture in mind, we make sure your vision is always within reach.

We Keep Things Interesting

From spirited client interactions to quirky vintage pieces, in the world of design, well-placed humor is an accessory that will never go out of style.

We Edit With Personal Intentions

No two clients are alike, so neither are the spaces we design.

We Believe in Rights for All

Hate has no place at Hudson. We’re part of a community committed to helping everyone find belonging, and we give back to like-minded local causes every chance we get.

We Opt For Elegance Over Excess

An understated design is key to making the most sophisticated statement.

Our Founder

HID Founder Jill Goldberg has always had a penchant for translating ideas into reality. Years ago, when she was in LA honing her acting skills, that meant making stories out of scripts. Today, it means curating spaces that reflect the way her clients want to live at home.

For Jill, home is Boston, where she was born and raised. After going back to school for Interior Design, she returned to the place where it all began and teamed up with a local architect — a move that allowed her to flex her newly honed creative instincts to elevate every space. During this stretch, Jill’s passion for Interior Design collided with her enduring entrepreneurial spirit. And once that match was lit, the spark only continued to grow. Never one to do anything halfway, it didn’t take Jill long to set her sights on opening a storefront, a way of showcasing her distinct aesthetic while getting the word out about her new venture at the same time. It was a gamble that paid off: 17 years on, Hudson is an established business that meets clients at every Interior Design milestone — whether they’re searching for rare finds or reimagining their entire house.

And though the trends may come and go, some things never waver — like Jill’s passion for aesthetic personalization or her knack for editing the Hudson store floor. Of course, there’s more to our Founder than meets the eye. Get a glimpse into some of her quirks, interests, and inspirations below!

Our Approach

Wondering what it’s like to work with us? Discover our process for partnering with clients — from the day we first meet to the moment our vision comes to life.

  • An introductory phone call and in-person meeting help ensure that Hudson is the right fit for your home design needs.

  • Paperwork may not sound like the most exciting step in our process — but it’s how we formalize our partnership and commitment to you!

  • Here, we’ll refine ideas based on the insight and context you’ve provided so we can hone in on the right aesthetic for your space.

  • It’s all coming together! Next up? We’ll source specific items based on your budget, assemble a cohesive layout, and connect with contractors based on project scope.

  • Now that the supplies have been sourced, it’s time to present our progress. This walk-through will give you a sense of the big-picture concept we’re curating and allow you to feel materials with your own two hands or see patterns in person.

  • After we’ve made any necessary adjustments based on your feedback, we’ll provide you with a proposal that breaks down all the costs associated with project execution. And rest assured: We won’t order anything until you’ve officially signed off!

  • Once your materials have been ordered, our work is far from done. From coordinating delivery ETAs to final installation, we’ll be there every step of the way.
